A HUNGRY woman preparing to tuck into her fish supper got more than she bargained for when it began wriggling on her plate - after being cooked.
In an extraordinary video, the Chinese woman can be seen picking up her
chopsticks and moving aside a creamy tomato sauce as the fish’s fins
begin flapping.
Although the body of the fish has been cut up and
cooked, the head can be seen reacting as the woman plunges the
chopsticks further into the remainder of its body.
However, the enthusiastic diner is completely unconcerned by the
movement on her plate and tucks in enthusiastically during the video
filmed at a restaurant in Yuexiu District, located in the Chinese
province of Guangzhou.
Cases of animals that apparently spring back to life long after they should be dead is not a new phenomenon.
A video which went viral earlier this year shows a woman wrestling with a
fish in her kitchen - after she has removed the head and gutted it.
A
dog can be heard barking in the background as the woman and her husband
laugh while the headless fish flips itself into the sink.
The husband shrieks: "What the hell?" as the woman preparing the fish grabs a towel to stop it wriggling away.
And it is not only dead fish which have left people with raised eyebrows.
Another video reveals a woman’s shock after the joint of meat she bought from a butcher starts pulsating and twitching.
The 20-second clip shows the slab of beef moving on the table top.
The woman, from China, bought the meat an hour earlier but it is not clear when the animal was slaughtered.
The woman said when she first saw it moving she thought it was full of maggots until she cut it open and realised there were no worms inside it.
