Problems Only Girls With Big Boobs Can Understand

There’s a lot to be said about big breasts. Yes, the media keep telling everyone that the bigger the better. Push up bras exist for the sole purpose of making your boobies look bigger and better. A lot of women strive for this “ideal” and quite a few get implants. But is it worth it? It’s hard to tell. We all strive to have something we don’t have.

Girls with smaller chests sometimes want to have a double D cup, while the owners of those double D would gladly agree to have a B cup. While I’m quite happy with my larger-than-B-cup-sized breasts; I do see how big boobs come with their own set of annoyances and disadvantages. Here’s some I remembered just off the top of my head.

1. Finding a button down that will fit perfectly and look flattering is pretty much impossible. You either have to get a huge size to accommodate your boobs and end up looking rather boxy, or if it fits everywhere else, those buttons on your chest are hanging on for dear life where they are threatening to blast off across the room.

2. V-neck shirts look good but also sexy on you, but you can never pull off that casual “urban outfitters” look. I constantly feel jealous of my friends with smaller chests who never have to worry that a simple V-neck will make them look like they’re trying too hard.

3. T-shirts with a cute print on them are not for you. There’s absolutely no way you can have a nice print on your chest. It’ll stretch out so much, it will be unrecognizable. Plus, wearing something with a print will just bring unwanted attention to your boobs.

4.Speaking of unwanted attention. Everyone is always staring at your breasts, or commenting on their size. You never asked for this, but there’s nothing you can do about it. The worst thing is when people try to pass that off as a compliment.

5. Messenger bags are your worst enemy. If you wear them properly – they look like a boob divider. That’s never a good look. But when you try to wear them so that the strap goes above your boobs – it threatens to choke you and, let’s face it, it just looks stupid.

6. Same with seatbelts in cars. There’s just no way of looking good or feeling comfortable with that huge seat belt across your chest. Sometimes I genuinely think that my boobs have more chances of protecting me in case of a car crash then the seat belt. (lol, just kidding, car safety is important)

7. You can’t run down the stairs comfortably. The amount of jiggling that takes place is insane. You have two options here. Either holding onto your boobs with your hands to stop the jiggling or just, you know, not running down the stairs.

8. Speaking of running, that’s uncomfortable too. In fact any kind of exercise, especially cardio, requires super strong sports bras. Yes, I said bras, plural. There’s no way one sports bra can give the amount of support that’s needed for big boobs. You usually need at least 2, sometimes 3. And finding one that will actually fit properly is a whole other problem. Doing push ups is ridiculous, you can’t go very low, because your boobs get in the way. Don’t even get me started on yoga, downward dog pose threatens with suffocation by boobs.

9. Bra’s in general are a challenge. Not because you don’t like them, in fact, most girls with big boobs love bras. They’re our best friends. But finding a nice looking one seems impossible. All the pretty ones either only come in small sizes, or even if they do come in a bigger size, offer absolutely no support. So we’re left with very plain looking bras in the best case scenario, or awful grandma ones in the worst case.

10. Strapless dresses are not an option. There’s just no way a strapless dress will stay in place. You constantly have to pull it up, or adjust your boobs. They also make you look way too inappropriate, even though that’s not the look you’re going for.

11. Pretty much anything you wear will look way more sexy than you want it too. It doesn’t matter if you’re wearing a casual t-shirt and comfy jeans or, a flannel shirt or a casual dress, someone will still comment that you look too “sexy”. If you actually choose to wear a sexy evening dress – someone is bound to say that’s inappropriate or vulgar.

12.Your back hurts. You know how all women can’t wait to go home to take of the bra? Girls with big boobs can relate to that, but we also just want to lie down, so our back can stop hurting after all that heavy lifting we had to do all day, lugging these boobs everywhere.

13. You can’t really complain, because you’ll just sound like you’re humble-bragging.

Top 10 Bra Mistakes (and how to fix them) Every Girl Suffers From

We have a love and hate relationship with our boobs. They’re beautiful and we love them – we wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world, but sometimes, they’re just straight up uncooperative. They don’t like to nestle calmly in your bra when you’re speed walking down the street or dancing at a party – instead, your skin gets irritated, you’re constantly pulling up straps, or fidgeting uncomfortably. But don’t worry, your lovely lady lumps aren’t the issue – you’ve just been buying the wrong bra your whole life! Eliminate all those woes by learning these ultimate bra mistake-fixers.


1. Breaking a strap on the street.
This is the worst. You have to do some terrible DIY tie job that ends up unraveling, or you just have one saggy, lone boob swaying in a loose cup while they other is suspended normally. A racer back bra solves this, or you might be tightening your straps too much to perk your girls up. You can use a paperclip to make a racerback out of a normal bra as a hack!

2. Straps that are always showing or slipping off.
This sucks if you want to wear a halter or tube top, but still need support. Bandeaus suck for anyone that’s not an A cup, but there are actually supportive strapless bras, or ones that have a halter shape to them that still provide support and are comfortable. Silicon straps can also keep everything in place, and add support.

3. Boob chafing or sweating.
In the summer especially, this is a nightmare. To avoid, stick to light, breathable fabrics, like cotton and lace, which are moisture-wicking. Stay away from underwire if your pain is under the boob.

4. Constantly twisted back of bra.
Twisted straps are one thing, but having to go through the full work day with the hook part being twisted is incredibly uncomfortable and you’ll be fidgeting so much everyone will think you have a back rash. Fix this by getting a front closure bra – even in your morning rush, it’s almost impossible to twist that one.

5. Having too much nipple showing.
It’s kind of hard to get the perfect amount of nipple that you want in a bra sometimes. At a party, you might want a slightly more pronounced look in a softer cup, while at work, you might want to prop them up a little, but have your nipples covered in case the office AC goes on full-blast. For a more covered look, get contour-style bras, and soft-seemed or unlined for a more relaxed look.

6. Having that awkward space at the top of the bra between boob and fabric.
You can have c-cups and still look small with this annoying issue. It often happens with count our style bras, which have such a strong mold to them sometimes that it has an issue shaping to your own body. So you get the cup silhouette contrasting with your own silhouette, instead of working with it. Solve this by getting a softer seamed bra that’s lined lightly to flatter and hug your curves instead.

7. Or the opposite – boob over-spillage!
This could be caused by wearing a bra that’s too small for you. This usually happens with larger-chested women who are wearing a balconette or demi cup. Even if you have smaller boobs, having them half covered can often give the appearance that they’re busting out. In that case, switch to a full cup, or a demi that’s a little fuller.

8. Boobs that look awkwardly far apart when you wear a low-cut shirt.
If your breasts are set slightly wider apart, go for a low-cut balconette bra. It will shape them to make them more fuller, pushed a little more together, and have a more defined shape as opposed to a softer cup, which will make them look a little deflated and saggy.

9. The awkward back bulge in your party dress.
Back fat that’s created from bras even when you don’t have back fat is one of the most frustrating issues there is out there. But learn how to smooth out that bulge by buying a bra that’s a bigger cup size – a strap that’s too tight will often create bulge. If this doesn’t work
try a bra with crossed straps, or a higher back with side panel.

10. Wearing a sexy bra that ends up looking not so sexy when it’s actually under clothes.
It sucks to wear a sexy bra that looked awesome on the rack and Victoria’s Secret model, but looks super weird under clothes. Especially if they have a frilly texture or a bold print, make sure that what you’re wearing will complement it, not make you stick out like a sore thumb. Instead, choose a subtle and pretty print to wear under a semi-sheer black top, to leave a little to the imagination and give you a flattering silhouette.
